And last of February.
In the morning the wind at south south west. Verie mild and warm weather as [one's] heart could wish. The sun rising in the morning very pleasant and so it continued until night. This day making show of no more winter, [it] being so pleasant and warm, the birds Singing very pleasant in the woods. This after noone Willes was buried.
All this day the wind something hard. This night, about ten of the clock, it began to raine very Fast and it continued until 4 or 5 of the clock in the morning and then ceased and, afterwards, it did begin to Freeze very hard.
