In the morning the wind at south west and so [it] continued until night. In the morning small rain until 9 of the clock, the weather very mild and warm towards noon. The sun shining very pleasant until night which disolved the most part of all the snow which was upon the open ground. It was verie warme all the day.
Yesterday Frederick the Dutchman took a Fox in the trap at Salmon Cove.
The night also very warm and mild, thawing very very much all night which consumed very near all the ice.
This night died one of our company called Willes who hath been sick since Christmas.
