| November 11, 1612 [at Heart’s Content]
In the morning the winde at North east, much wind showing verie thick all the day. This place [Heart’s Content] is some 8 leagues [24 miles] from Mount Eagle Bay. This morning we removed anker and, going forth [to] the harbour mouth, found the wind contrary, so returned in to the harbour agayne. All this night it did snow very thick and very much wind at northeast.
