November 10, 1612 [at Heart's Content]

In the morning the wind at North weste, verie faire weather, the sun shininge at tymes and some tymes snow blankes. This morning we removed anker carrying the [Beothuk] canoe with us. [We] being crossing all this day the Bay of Trinitie and at night we came unto Harts Content. This night verie faire and little wind. Mending here our canoe.
