October 18, 1612 [at Bay de Verde]

In the morning the winde at northeaste. Some parte of the day Sun shining and some tymes showers of snowe but the wind being Contrary this night we put backe againe and ankered againe at Green Bay. This night we had much snowe most part of the night.
