In the morning the wind at east, little wind until it was 9 of the clock. The sun rising very Faire and shining very pleasant and warm all the day. The wind, after 12 of the clock, came at southwest and continued until night. Milder weather there could not be if it had been at midsummer, dissolving the snow very much.
This morning Fredrick killed a sable at Salmon Cove in the trap. This night also very faire and mild, the wind at southwest.
