In the morning the wind at west south west. Snowing all this morning very thick. [It] was at least 3 inches thick. After 12 of the clock, it did clear up and the sun shining very pleasant which consumed the snow very much.
[In the] after noon the wind at west, much wind, and so it continued until night. This night it freezed very hard all the night against the morning but all night [there was] little wind.
