In the morning the wind at west south west. A fresh gale of wind all the day until night but the weather very myld, the sun shining very warme and pleasant all the day until night. In the after noon [it was] extreme warm, as though it had been at midsummer, which did desolve the snow very much [and]...left little or none upon the open ground.
This night the wind at west, Freezing very hard with the little pond by the brew house all creamed over and the harbour also [covered] with ice.
Master Fredrick took a Fox in the trap.
