March 17, 1613
In the morning the wind at west south west, little wind, and, about 9 of the clock, the wind at west north west, much wind. The sun, from the Rising until noone, shining verie pleasant and warm all the day which did dissolve the snow verie much and [was] verie comfortable unto all our sick people.
At one of the clock [in the] after noon the wind at east north east, little wind, and so [it] continued until night.
This day our people took more troutes.
This night the wind came at west, freezing very hard all the night.
