In the morning the wind at south west. The sun showing her self at the rising but, afterward, cloudy and overcast until noon. Freezing a little but, in the after noon, also verie close weather and, about 3 of the clock, it did begin to snow but it was but little.
This morning died one of our companie called Tobias, an Irish man, who was an apprentice and [he] was buried this after noon.
This after noon our boat came home which hath been at Harbour de Grace [looking] for scurvy grass but [they] found none. ...[They] hath been wanting this 12 days.
This night hath been mild, [there] Falling a little snow which covered all the ground over. Withal [a] little wind all night at southeast.
They brought from Harbour de Grace 4 geese with them.
