In the morning the wind at south west, little wind until 9 of the clock, then a reasonable gale of wind, more fresher. The sun shining verie warme until noon which desolved the snow and ice verie much.
Very moderate weather as [one's] heart could wish, which putteth every one in hope that the winter is now past for this year.
This night verie myld until it was midnight, then the wind [came] round at east northeast. Verie cold and freezing hard until it was day.
