In the morning the winde at southwest and be south. Verie mild weather all the day, thawing verie much. It thawed and uncovered the houses from snow which had bin Frozen 8 days before. The sun showing her self aboute 12 of the clock and so continuing almost until night. This morning was verie close weather with Fogg. The sky in the morning verie red at the rising of the sun and verie little winde.[A] milder day could not be in England. In the night, after 9 of the clock, verie much wind at Southweste with verie much raine all the night which did consume near all the Frost and snow which was upon the ground before. [There was] little left except in some certain places.
