Note: Henry Crout's Diary has now been expanded to include his description of the voyage from Dildo Arm to Bull Arm and the colonists meeting with the Beothuk on November 6, 1612.

We are fortunate that a number of letters and journals have survived from the early days of English settlement in Newfoundland. Journal Entries & Letters contains transcriptions of a number of these documents including excerpts from John Guy's journal and Henry Crout's diary.
