| November 22, 1612 [off Bell Island]
In the morning the wind at south west, some tymes the sun Shining and some tymes snow. In the afternoon, much wind at weste but, towards night, the wind at weste north west which made us to get to the souther side of Great Belle Isle against the stages where the ships fish and there ankered all night with verie much winde all night at west north west. This night a great frost against the morning.
