| October 12, 1612 [at Harbour Grace]
In the morning the wind at weste northweste. All the fore noone very close weather and much winde. In the after noone very faire sun shining but very much wind until night. The night very calme but very cold.
We landed out of the French shipp left there by captain Eastone some 15 tons of Salts upon the beach. [He] also lefte 2 cables and a anker which we left there also. The same 60 fathom, the ship 120 ton.
