In the morning the wind at northeast, much wind until it was noon, the sun shining at times. ... in the after noon very faire sun shining but the wind something cold.
At 2 of the clock our bark came from Harbour de Grace but [they] lost the ship's boat of the Frenchman['s ship along] the way, which sunk.
This night [was] very clear but it freezed very hard [so] that the little pond [was] all creamed over with ice against the morning.
