In the morning the wind at east north east. A fresh gale of wind all the day until night but, this morning, small snow falling thick. Very close weather all the day. The weather something close all the day but the snow in the open ground [was] consumed much.
This morning died William Wattes, one of our chiefest carpenters, a hired man for wages, and [he was] buried about 4 of the clock in the afternoon.
This night verie much wind at east northeast. Snowing a little in the beginning of the night and a little frost there was this night.
