In the morning the wind at west south west. At about 9 of the clock the wind was something hard, Freezing verie hard until noon, but the sun shining verie pleasant at certain tymes. [There was] falling some snow now and then, all the harbour Frozen over with a cream of ice.
In the after noon, about 4 of the clock, verie close weather and like of snow. The wind at southwest [and] something cold. At 4 of the clock Edward Hartland was buried.
At 9 of the clock at night it did begin to snow verie thick and so it continued until midnight, blowing a great storm of wind at southwest. After midnight [it] began to Raine verie Fast and so [it] continued until day, the night very warme.
