In the morning the wind [a] verie Fresh gale at Northwest and very cold all the day until night but verie Faire sun shining all day and the sun verie warme. ...only the extremety of the wind made it verie cold.
This day master Thomas Willoughby and myselfe was at Brigus. This night also verie cold. The ice all gone that was in this harbour but a little remaining in our little pond by the brew house.
