In the morning the wind at west south weste, close weather with some little snow blanks. From 7 of the clock it contrived snowing until it was 3 in the after noon with verie much wind. The sun in the afternoon, about 3 of the clock, did show her self divers tymes, the weather reasonable myld.
This morning departed 10 of our company to go by land for to find out the savages in Savage Bay for to see ther manner of life in the winter with provision [enough] for 15 or 20 days.
This night verie myld weather and calme, the wind at south weste until day.
