Description: Dorset Eskimo harpoon end blade made of grey chert. This endblade is unusual in that, unlike most of the Dorset Eskimo stone tools from Dildo Island, it is not patinated.

Description: This Recent Indian biface (probably a spearpoint) was the first Indian artifact found on Dildo Island. It was found by William Gilbert among the roots of a fallen tree in Area C in June 1995.
 

Name: Dorset Eskimo Harpoon End Blade

Site: Dildo Island
Culture: Dorest Eskimo
Description: Patinated chert harpoon endblade with serrated edge and polished surface. This end blade from House 2 on Dildo Island is typical of the Dorset end blades found in this part of Trinity Bay. The blade would have been fitted into a bone toggle which, in turn, would have been fastened to a wooden shaft.
